West Fork Near Spencer
From SOB (Bill): I went out flying on Saturday, jan 15, just to look at the flooding. I headed ese toward Bloomington to intercept the west fork of the White river. I flew ssw along the west fork until I was south of Crane, then headed ese toward Shoals to pick up the east fork. I then followed the east fork wsw until it joined with the west fork about 7 miles south of Washington. I then followed the White river west until it meets with the Wabash just south of Vincennes. I then followed the Wabash north back to HUF. The worst flooding is the White river after it combines. Places where the river was typically 40 yards wide, were over 5 miles wide. Small drainage streams running through fields were 2 miles wide.
